What we collect, and why.

What this site collects

What you type into the Start a build form: your name, email, company, optional website, role, and your answers about what you want built, team size, budget range and timing. The form also records the page you arrived on and the referring site, so we know how you found us. It contains no advertising trackers and sets no marketing cookies.

Which companies visit

We look up the organisation that owns the network address each visit comes from, so we can see that someone at a company read a page. We keep the page, the site you came from, and a random identifier for your browser. Your network address itself is never stored in readable form, only as a one-way hash, and it is sent to ipapi.is to perform that lookup.

We do not learn who you are. No name, no email address, no profile: the result is a company, not a person, and visits from home and mobile connections are not matched at all. Nothing is stored if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Records are deleted after 90 days, and you can ask us to erase yours sooner by emailing info@shipyardlabs.ai.

Why we collect it

To reply to your inquiry, decide together whether a build makes sense, and keep a record of the conversation. We don’t sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list.

Who processes it for us

  • HubSpot, our customer relationship manager, where inquiries are stored.
  • Formspree, a backup record if HubSpot is unavailable.
  • Resend, which sends the confirmation email to you and the alert to us.
  • Vercel, which hosts this website.
  • ipapi.is, which tells us the organisation behind a network address, while visitor identification is switched on.

Removing your information

Email info@shipyardlabs.ai and ask us to delete your inquiry. We’ll remove it from our records and confirm when it’s done.
